Cougars Stay at #22 in AP Poll

Houston remains No. 22 in Week 3 AP Poll vote
HOUSTON – Following its 77-6 win over Southern on Saturday, the Houston Football team remained at No. 22 in the AP Poll on Sunday. The Cougars dropped to No. 23 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The No. 22 ranking sets up a top 25 matchup against #13/12 Texas Tech on Friday night in Lubbock on FOX. It marks the first meeting as ranked teams in the rivalry since 1978.
With Houston's Week 3 ranking, Houston has been ranked in three consecutive polls for the first time since 2021.
