What’s New at TDECU: Improved Game Day Experience

Gameday experience enhanced, DJ, fireworks, pyro set for 2026
HOUSTON – We asked. You answered. We listened. We made sweeping changes and the response from Cougar Nation was extremely positive. Now those changes will be the norm.
New in 2026, Houston Football will have an in-venue DJ at all home games, will have additional pyrotechnics and cryo, an enhanced team entrance, and fireworks throughout game day that will make you levitate and an environment that leaves you wanting to come back for more.
These enhancements, in addition to moving every student into the 100-level of TDECU Stadium, will greatly improve the game day experience and atmosphere.
Houston Athletics has also restructured and revived the kids program called Shasta's Kids Club which will return outside Gate 4 with a reenergized Kids' Zone, right next to a new and improved tailgating area – more on that to come later. Arrive early to tailgate as we feature additional food trucks and an array of vendors to enjoy as fans prepare for kickoff.
New in 2026, Houston will launch Coogs Unlimited Gameday Experiences where fans can purchase exclusive game day experiences that get you closer to the team and create memories that last for a lifetime. These experiences will feature paid opportunities to allow ticketed patrons an opportunity to go behind the scenes of UH Football and get up close and personal to the action happening on gameday. More details to come as the program launches ahead of H-Town kickoff, Sept. 5.
SEASON TICKETS
University of Houston Football season tickets are on sale for the 2026 season. For as low as $150, fans can get in on the excitement of Year 3 of the Head Coach Willie Fritz era with pivotal matchups against Oregon State, Southern, UCF, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati and Baylor as the Cougars look to improve on their 10-win season in 2025.
