
Kingston Flemings Earns Invitation to Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp

Freshman point guard selected as one of 12 student-athletes from schools across nation
HOUSTON – University of Houston freshman point guard Kingston Flemings has earned an invitation and will compete this week at the Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp, which runs through Friday in Las Vegas.Flemings is one of only 12 student-athletes from schools across the country to join the elite camp, led by NBA All-Star and 20-year veteran Chris Paul. The camp was created to teach what it takes to play at the highest level and how to prepare for the challenges at the NCAA Division I and NBA levels.
ABOUT KINGSTON FLEMINGS
Flemings begins his freshman season in 2025-26 after an award-winning high school career at William J. Brennan High School in San Antonio, Texas.
He has been working out with the Cougars during summer workouts since early June.
Flemings was a Top-25 overall student-athlete nationally by all recruiting organizations and was designated the country's top point guard by on3.
As a senior during the 2024-25 season, he was honored as the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Texas and led the Bears to a 33-3 record and the Class 6A state semifinals for the second straight season after averaging 20.4 points, 6.8 assists, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game.
Flemings earned a place on the Naismith All-America Third Team and was named Team Honor's Most Valuable Player at the Iverson Classic
During the summer of 2024, he was a member of the Gold Medal-winning Team USA at the FIBA Under-17 3x3 World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary and competed at USA Basketball Under-17 National Team training camps and the NBPA Top 100 Camp.
As a junior during the 2023-24 season, Flemings was named the San Antonio Express-News Player of the Year for the second straight season after leading Brennan High School to a 31-5 overall record, the UIL Regional Semifinals and a 16-0 mark in district play.
He averaged 17.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game and led the Bears in scoring in three of four postseason games, including an 18-point effort in the Semifinals against Stony Point High School.
In February, Flemings finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in a win over Jay High School on the way to being named San Antonio Express-News Player of the Week (Feb. 19, 2024).
He was first named San Antonio Express-News Player of the Year following his sophomore season in 2022-23 and set the Brennan HS single-season record for assists as a freshman in 2021-22.

ABOUT the COUGARS
In 2024-25, the Cougars set a school single-season record with 35 wins and advanced to the NCAA Tournament National Championship Game before falling to Florida inside Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Houston, which finished #2 in both national polls, won 31 of its final 33 games to end the season and advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the seventh time in program history – and the second time under Sampson – with a resounding 69-50 win over #6/6 (2) Tennessee during the NCAA Elite Eight in Indianapolis on March 30.
The Cougars swept the Big 12 regular-season and tournament championships in their second year in the league and set school and league records with a 19-1 mark in conference games. Houston became the first school to join a major conference and win the regular-season title in each of its first two years in the league in more than 100 years.
Houston posted a perfect 10-0 record in road games in Big 12 play, becoming the first program in NCAA Division I history to accomplish that feat in a season, and enters the 2025-26 season with the nation's longest active road winning streak at 14 straight games.
Houston returns three starters and seven lettermen in 2025-26, including All-Big 12 Conference honoree and Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team member Milos Uzan, Phillips 66 Big12 Championship Most Outstanding Player and NCAA Midwest Regional Most Outstanding Player guard Emanuel Sharp and Naismith Awards National Defensive Player of the Year presented by MOLECULE finalist Joseph Tugler.
The Cougars will be boosted with the addition one of the nation's top recruiting classes with Flemings, freshman forward Chris Cenac Jr., freshman guard Isiah Harwell, freshman guard Bryce Jackson and senior forward Kalifa Sakho.
