Fangli breaks her own Hungarian record, earns World Aquatics Championships A Standard
KAPOSVAR, Hungary – University of Houston senior Henrietta Fangli broke her own Hungarian record in the 100-meter breaststroke and qualified for the 2025 World Aquatic Championships on the first day of the Hungarian National Swimming Championships on Wednesday at Csik Ferenc Swimming Pool in Kaposvar, Hungary.

Fangli secured the top spot on the podium with a 1:06.87, nearly two seconds faster than the second-place time and topping her previous national record of 1:06.93 set at the Gyor Open in December 2024. It marked the second time Fangli has gone under 1:07 in the event and ranks as the fifth fastest time in the world this year.Â

The time is an A-Standard for the 2025 World Aquatic Championships, which will be held in Singapore from July 11th through August 3rd.Â
