HOUSTON – University of Houston Assistant Athletics Director for Strategic Communications Jeff Conrad has been recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) with his selection of the 2025 25-Year Award, celebrating a quarter century of standout service to the athletics communications profession.
Conrad, who joined the University of Houston Athletics Communications Office in 2001, is part of a special class of recipients who will be recognized during award ceremonies during the CSC UNITE 25 national convention (June 8-11), taking place at the Orlando World Center Marriott in conjunction with NACDA and Affiliates Convention Week.
In his current role, Conrad manages publicity efforts for Houston Men's Basketball, Men's Golf and Women's Golf, while overseeing Football statistics and credentials. He was promoted to a Director role in February 2008 and elevated to Assistant Athletics Director for Communications in May 2017.

Before being promoted to his current position, Conrad worked as an assistant SID for six years at UH. During that time, he worked with the Baseball and Swimming and Diving teams, serving as the media coordinator for the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships for five years.
Prior to joining UH, Conrad served three years at Louisiana-Lafayette, the last two as the SID. During his time with the Cajuns, he oversaw the publicity efforts of all 16 intercollegiate sports and was the primary contact for Football, Men's Basketball and Baseball.
During the 1999-00 season, he coordinated media relations for the Cajun Men's Basketball team that won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and competed in the NCAA Tournament and the Cajun Baseball team that advanced to the NCAA College World Series for the first time in school history.
After graduating from college, Conrad worked as a graduate assistant at Louisiana-Lafayette during the 1995-96 year and was a metro reporter with the Alexandria Daily Town Talk in Alexandria, La., for two years.
A native of Shreveport, La., he received his bachelor's degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in communications from Centenary College in 1995. As an undergraduate, he worked for more than two years in the Sports Information Office, serving as the primary contact for Baseball, Men's and Women's Soccer and Softball while helping with Men's Basketball.
His knowledge, professionalism, and caring spirit are deeply valued by both current and former staff members. His recognition by CSC stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication to celebrating his student-athletes and teams at the highest level.
