
Hinchliffe Wins UK Championship, Qualifies for Paris Olympics

Louie Hinchliffe will compete for Great Britain in the 100-meter at the 2024 Paris Olympics
MANCHESTER, England – University of Houston Track & Field standout Louie Hinchliffe was crowned the men's 100-meter champion at the UK Athletics Championships and assured his spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday at the UK Athletics Championships in Manchester.

Hinchliffe, the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field 100-meter champion, won the 100-meter and punched his ticket to Paris with a time of 10.18.

In June, Hinchliffe became the first European to win the NCAA 100-meter dash with a personal best time of 9.95. He is also the first Cougar to represent Great Britain at the Olympics in Houston Track & Field history.

Track & Field at the 2024 Paris Olympics will be held from Thursday, Aug. 1, through Sunday, Aug. 11. Hinchliffe will open action at the Olympics on Saturday, Aug. 3, in the 100-meter.
