SUNSET, S.C. â€" University of Houston sophomore star Leonie Harm led the Cougars with a 67 in Saturday's Second Round at the Clemson Invitational and moved into a tie for 13th with a score of 143 at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
Harm was one of two Cougars who finished Second Round play among the top-seven leaders with junior Allie Andersen in seventh at 3-under 141.
Harm enjoyed six rounds with only one bogey in Saturday's Second Round to move up 38 places in the individual standings. Starting her day on No. 1 on the 6,260-yard, par-72 course, the Gerlingen, Germany, native made birdies on No. 2 and No. 3.
After a pair on No. 4, Harm proceeded to sink three birdies in a four-hole stretch. She enjoyed consecutive birdies for the second time on the front nine on Nos. 5-6 and added another birdie on No. 8.
Although she closed her front nine with a bogey on No. 8, she quickly regained that stroke with a birdie on No. 10 and then sank eight straight pars to finish her day.
As a team, the Cougars stood in seventh with a score of 586 in a field which features 11 of the nation's top-50 programs.
No. 8 Furman maintained its lead with a score of 568 to stand one stroke ahead of No. 5 Florida and No. 6 Florida State. No. 21 Texas stood in fourth at 575 with Michigan State (575) and No. 24 Oklahoma rounding out the top-six leaders.
No. 30 Ohio State (588), No. 42 Clemson (588), No. 32 Tennessee (588) and No. 43 Louisville (588) completed the top-11.
Andersen maintained her place in among the top-10 leaders with an even-par 72 Saturday. After opening the tournament with a career-low-tying 69, Andersen stood at 2-over through 16 holes but made birdies on two of her final three holes
Junior Ivon Reijers was tied for 43rd at 149, while junior Courtney Tibiletti was tied for 73rd at 153. Junior Megan Thothong was tied for 79th at 156.
Texas' Sophia Schubert held the Second-Round lead at 8-under 136 with Matilda Castren (Florida State) and Alice Chen (Furman) tied for second at 137. Maria Torres (Florida), Ana Ruiz (Oklahoma) and Taylor Tomlinson (Florida) were tied for fourth at 140.

FINAL-ROUND PAIRINGS
Sunday's Final Round begins at 7 a.m. (CDT). The Cougars will compete in groups with No. 6 Florida State and No. 21 Texas, beginning at 10 a.m. (CDT) Sunday, off No. 1.
Thothong begins the day at 10 a.m. (CDT) with Harm (10:09 a.m. CDT), Reijers (10:18 a.m. CDT), Tibiletti (10:27 a.m. CDT) and Andersen (10:36 a.m. CDT) following.
UP NEXT
Following the Clemson Invitational, the Cougars enter the postseason when they compete at the American Athletic Conference Championships on The Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Golf & Spa Resort on April 16-18.
The Cougars look to defend their title from a year ago, the first in the program's young history.
