FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- The University of Houston Women's Golf program opens its 2016-17 season when it tees off at the Mason Rudolph Championships on Friday morning at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The Cougars, who captured the American Athletic Conference championship a year ago in only the program's third year of team competition, will compete in 54 holes through Sunday on the 6,451-yard, par-72 course.
Houston will compete against Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Chattanooga, Michigan State, Middle Tennessee, Northwestern, SMU, Troy, Tulane, UCF, Virginia, Yale and host Vanderbilt.

THE LINEUP
Megan Thothong -- 2016 All-American Athletic Conference performer... Third on team with 74.39 scoring average and finished second among the Cougars with nine rounds of par or better... Two-time UNF Collegiate individual champion... Led Cougars and tied for seventh at 2-under 214 at 2015 Mason Rudolph Championships.
Allie Andersen -- Making her UH debut... Was a two-year letterwinner at Colorado State (2014-16)... Native of The Woodlands, Texas, and product of The Woodlands High School.
Ivon Reijers -- Making her UH debut... Joined the Cougars at the semester break in January 2016 and sat out the rest of the season as a redshirt... Competed for her first two seasons at Redlands Community College before joining the Cougars.
Kelli Rollo -- Two-year letterwinner... Member of the first team in Houston Women's Golf history in 2013-14... Making her UH debut in team competition.
Leonie Harm -- Was the Cougars' first representative at the NCAA Championships after advancing as individual out of 2016 NCAA Baton Rouge Regional... Earned place on 2016 WGCA Baton Rouge All-Region Team... Member of 2015-16 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team... Finished second on team with a 74.35 scoring average and led the Cougars with four rounds in the 60s despite missing the fall semester a year ago.

• A year ago, the Cougars finished sixth of 17 teams at the 2015 Mason Rudolph Championship with a score of 875.
• Houston posted a team score of 5-under 283 in the Second Round with Thothong (69), Raegan Bremer (70) and Emily Gilbreth (70) posting sub-par totals.
