SAN ANTONIO, Texas â€" For the second straight day, University of Houston junior Allie Andersen posted the Cougars' low score of the day and stood in a tie for 22nd with a score of 145 following the Second Round of the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club.
Starting on No. 10, Andersen posted two birdies and eight pars through her first 10 holes before enduring a bogey and double bogey in a three-hole stretch on her back nine. The Woodlands, Texas, native posted a 73 Monday and finished with a total of 145 through 36 holes on the 6,450-yard, par-72 course.
As a team, the Cougars bettered their First-Round total by a stroke at 298 and remained in 11th at 597.
No. 9 Arkansas fired the tournament's low round to date at 274 Monday and surged into the lead at 14-under 562 to stand eight strokes in front of No. 39 Texas A&M and No. 23 Tennessee.
No. 32 Auburn (575), Mississippi State (576), TCU (579), UTSA (582), Kansas State (585), SMU (585) and Tulane (596) rounded out the top-10 leaders.
Junior Megan Thothong was tied for 41st at 149, while senior Emily Gilbreth was tied for 48th at 150. Sophomore Leonie Harm stood in a tie for 59th at 153 with junior Ivon Reijers tied for 68th at 158.
Arkansas' Alana Uriell finished Monday's play at 11-under 133 to hold a 5-shot lead over Tennessee's Hannah Pietila. Mississippi State's Chieh Jessica Peng and Kaylee Benton of Arkansas were tied for third at 139.

FINAL-ROUND PAIRINGS
The tournament wraps up with Tuesday's Final Round, beginning with an 8:45 a.m., shotgun start. The Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from Tulane and Old Dominion.
Andersen will tee off in the first group off No. 11 with Thothong (No. 12), Harm (first group off No. 13), Gilbreth (second group off No. 13) and Reijers (No. 14) following.
