HUNTSVILLE, Texas â€" Four University of Houston Women's Golfers will compete as individuals this week at the Bearkat Invitational in a recent addition to the Cougars' fall schedule.
Senior Emily Gilbreth, juniors Kelli Rollo and Courtney Tibiletti and sophomore Tatiana Pineda will open play on the 6,067-yard, par-71 course at Raven Nest Golf Club, beginning Monday morning.
The Cougars will compete in 36 holes with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start Monday before Tuesday's Final Round.
Houston will compete against student-athletes from Alabama State, Alcorn State, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, Lamar, McLennan Community College, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas Southern and host Sam Houston State.
THE LINEUP
Emily Gilbreth â€" Making her 2016-17 debut… Lone senior and three-year letterman on 2016-17 team… One of the first four members of Houston Women's Golf after joining team in 2013-14… Competed in 11 tournaments with a 75.30 average and seven rounds of par or better in 2015-16.
Courtney Tibiletti â€" Making her 2016-17 season debut… Huntsville, Texas, native and product of Huntsville High School… Competed in two tournaments a year ago… Competed in two tournaments with a 76.50 average in 2015-16.
Kelli Rollo â€" One of the first four members of Houston Women's Golf after joining team in 2013-14… Made her 2016-17 season debut at Mason Rudolph Championships on Sept. 16-18… Tied for 57th at 230… Was her first appearance with the Cougars in a team-scoring event.
Tatiana Pineda â€" Making her 2016-17 debut… Sat out the entire 2015-16 season as a redshirt… Competing in her first collegiate event since HBU Husky Invitational on March 31, 2015.
UP NEXT
Following the Bearkat Invitational, the Cougars will continue their fall schedule at the Jim West Challenge. Houston will compete on the Tom Fazio Championship Course at Carlton Woods on Oct. 9-10 in The Woodlands, Texas.
