After stumbling at the end of her front nine and beginning of her back nine, the Clear Lake, Texas, native rallied with a birdie on the 492-yard, par-5 sixth hole and tied for 46th with a 74.
Sophomore Emily Gilbreth equaled Ferguson with a 74 of her own to tie for 46th. The Bellaire High product played a steady round with a First-Round-leading 15 pars and drained her only birdie of the round on the 494-yard, par-5 seventh hole.
Junior Raegan Bremer and freshman Yuka Kajiki - who were both recently named to the All-American Athletic Conference Team - tied for 70th after posting 76s, while freshman Megan Thothong tied for 78th with a 77.
On the team side, No. 14 Tennessee held the first-day lead at 276 to finish two strokes in front of 3rd-ranked UCLA.
