THE LINEUP
Earlier this week, head coach Gerrod Chadwell and volunteer assistant coach Mary Michael Maggio announced that junior Courtney Ferguson and sophomore Raegan Bremer will represent the Cougars this weekend.
Bremer has been the Cougars' most consistent performer through the first three fall tournaments. The Anaheim, Calif., leads the Cougars with a 74.33 scoring average and three rounds of par or better this season.
She earned a pair of top-25 finishes, including a sixth-place showing at the Cardinal Cup, hosted by Louisville, on Sept. 16-17.
Ferguson is the elder stateswoman among the Cougars this season after transferring from Oklahoma State. The Houston native tied for 19th at the Cardinal Club in mid-September, thanks to an opening-round 71.
WELCOME BACK
This weekend's tournament will be a homecoming for head coach Gerrod Chadwell. The first-year Houston coach served as an assistant coach with the Sooners from 2011 to 2013.
While in Norman, he helped lead the Sooners to two straight NCAA Championships berths, three straight NCAA Regional appearances and a No. 2 national ranking from Golf World/Women's Golf Coaches Association in 2012-13.
