TEAM NOTES
• The Cougars end the 2008-09 season with a 21-12 overall record... It is the 19th 21-win season in school history and the third time in the last four years that the Cougars reached 21 wins.
• Wednesday's game was the first time since March 11, 1966, that the Cougars faced Oregon State in men's basketball... The Beavers knocked the Cougars into the consolation game with a 63-60 win at the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional.
• With Wednesday's appearance in the College Basketball Invitational, the Cougars competed in the postseason for the fourth time during the last five seasons, a first in program history since 1988-93.
• Oregon State improved to 2-0 lead in the all-time series against Houston.
• Wednesday's game was the first game on either team's home court in the all-time series.
• The Cougars fell to 2-2 (.500) all-time when competing in the College Basketball Invitational.
