TEAM NOTES
The Cougars end the 2008-09 season with a 21-12 overall record... It is the 19th 21-win season in school history and the third time in the last four years that the Cougars reached 21 wins.
Wednesday's game was the first time since March 11, 1966, that the Cougars faced Oregon State in men's basketball... The Beavers knocked the Cougars into the consolation game with a 63-60 win at the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional.
With Wednesday's appearance in the College Basketball Invitational, the Cougars competed in the postseason for the fourth time during the last five seasons, a first in program history since 1988-93.
Oregon State improved to 2-0 lead in the all-time series against Houston.
Wednesday's game was the first game on either team's home court in the all-time series.
The Cougars fell to 2-2 (.500) all-time when competing in the College Basketball Invitational.

Senior center Marcus Cousin and senior guard DaShaun Williams competed in their final games with the Cougars.
Junior guard Kelvin Lewis played all 40 minutes in a regulation game for the ninth time this season and during his career.
