Rogers Named To Butkas Award Watch List

Rogers is one of three returning starters on Houston's defensive unit. Rogers registered 114 tackles for the Cougars in 1999 and led the team with 19 tackles for lost yardage. He also recorded six quarterback sacks, forced four fumbles, recovered one fumble and broke up 12 passes.
The Butkas Award goes to the nation's best linebacker and the list will be trimmed to 10 semi-finalists on October 19. The three finalists will be announced on November 9 at the Downtown Marriott in Orlando. The winner will be announced on Friday, December 8.
